Priaxor™ fungicide, BASF’s latest innovation in disease protection, is a combination of the same active ingredient in Headline® fungicide and a new active ingredient: Xemium® fungicide. Xemium is continuously distributed throughout the leaf to help deliver the ultimate in disease protection. Priaxor gives soybean growers superior disease control, Plant Health benefits and more consistent yield increases.
Three years of BASF-supported in-field research shows the impact Priaxor has on soybeans. In more than 75 trials conducted in 2010 and 2011, Priaxor-treated soybeans had higher yields than untreated acres 87 percent of the time. In comparison, the current leader in the soybean market, Headline, out-yielded untreated checks 83 percent of the time.
Priaxor is also labeled for use in potatoes and tomatoes to improve crop quality and yield potential. Studies have shown that the fungicide effectively controls early blight and black dot in potatoes and early blight, target spot and black mold in tomatoes. Where registered, Priaxor is labeled for the following crops: barley, corn, dried shelled peas and beans, edilble-podded legumes, fruiting vegetables, oats, oilseed crops (including flax seed, rapeseed and sunflower), peanuts, potatoes, rye, succulent shelled peas and beans, sugar beets, triticale and wheat.
